Poem
I giggled myself throughout my life as I laughed again and again I swear I saw myself as crazy, but I could not care All I wanted to do was laugh out loud and laugh hard and repeatedly do so putting smiles on peoples faces I had this loud sound which was a remedy and filled the room with my presence while bringing people together with my laughter I couldn’t stop laughing I carried with me moments which were irreplaceable and knew without effort that I could brighten someone else’s day Maybe I was Trevor Noah in disguise, aligning my laughter to set them free I couldn’t stop laughing My laughter was gleeful and pure like that of an innocent child which couldn’t be missed for sure! With my loud sound, I brought the past with its memories making it fly past me I was filled with both the innocence and mischief that of a child bringing out the best in people who were depressed and anxious making them forget about what once was I couldn’t stop laughing as I made sure that when leaving the room, I left spirits lifted and soaring I had this beauty which made people twirl giving them sparkles and glitters in their eyes I was colors brought to life making hearts and souls bloom while washing away the gloom stained by the past I couldn’t stop laughing as I had giggles everywhere I set foot “In the bathroom making melodies in the shower, in the kitchen setting water and soap ready for the dishes and in front of my bosses as an average employee who is expected to keep quite even when there was a joke set to be laughed at” I swear they never saw that coming that I could burst a sound so contagious differentiating a perspective of an ordinary human This I knew for sure That I was an adult born out of joy with jovial moments which are forever captured That I always busted wavering my laughter from a happy heart with hands full of life I couldn’t stop laughing I had this infectious laugh making some joyful sound ringing melodies shared with the world and I knew without doubt that I carried medicine which couldn’t be staged Poet Masego Nkuna
