thought I just heard the ice cream truck seems as though it was a dream and I’m out of luck visions of ice cream sandwiches and fudge bars seems like yesterday but now only in my memoirs. the repertoire of bells ringing out the sounds where children scamper in leaps and bounds saved up dimes to spend for some delights spotting the colorful truck with flashing lights Emery McBain was indeed a pleasant old soul always on time for us on his afternoon roll, he called us by name and knew what we liked but his breath told me his lemonade was spiked. it was an ice cream parlor on a set of four wheels a bygone now as is the diner that still appeals lets us not forget the drive in theater features like the horror flicks and the mud swamp creatures. it was back then that us grown children had our fun a dime for a coke and a quarter for a hotdog and bun is yesterday really gone and forgotten., just imagine it reappears lets get together now and bring back those wonderful years. so jump in the back of my GTO and lets go dance this may take us back in time per chance we’re going to rock at the classic Blue Ox stir up a milk shake, only a dime for the jute box. we spent the night shakin’ and rollin’ to the past am sure we showed the younger gen who can last those days we probably enjoyed most of all ice cream at the curb to stomping and the crawl times like those re vitalizes the mind when life gets old and memories fall behind allow some time to take a stroll around life was fun then and it can still be found. those wonderful days still do exist ease on back with a cranberry twist all you have to do now is dream
