Poem

Said the cloud, I’ll grow and fill up the sky
I will cover the land below like a shroud
the day will  be dismal and gray
I’ll make it rain for I am a cloud.

I’ll call my friends, Nimbus and Stratus
Together we will hamper the sun
She thinks her power can over rule
We’ll show her who is number one.

I have called upon my forces
They will cover the sunlight
They will turn the sky gray
There won’t be any bright daylight 

We will stunt the beauty of nature
Wash out its’ colors and scent
Stars will whine and whimper
 We won’t stop until we are content                           

We’ll attack early, just before break of dawn
Blocking the sun’s rays before they touch down
The atmosphere will be filled with moisture 
We will spill barrels of water on the ground

Before dawn arises, stars barge out
To protect the sun already in a tether
The sun and stars have now joined forces
To savor nature that may wither   

Arms drawn, to battle they go
Show of force with thunder and lighting
Clouds fracture and the rain dissipates
A rainbow appears, clouds less frightening 

The sun spreads abundantly upon the soil
Stars regain their post with pride
The sun still rules, all is won
The overcast has been pushed aside.
