Who, What, Where, When and Why

Who are the people, that have touched your life in some way
Who are the loved ones, that inspire you each and everyday 
Who are those friends, that share their laughter every time
Who are the family members, making homecoming so sublime

What are your expectations, in each and every encounter you have had
What are your dreams, the ones that make you feel happy and so sad
What are your emotions, that envelope and consume your very soul
What are your revelations, the ones you reveal, that make you whole

Where do your thoughts go, when they are no longer of concern
Where do your emotions travel, when there is nowhere else to turn
Where do your pains carry you, when you feel each one has been earned
Where do your regrets find you, when you amass what you have learned 
 
When will you realize, that anger and hate blackens your very soul
When will you understand, that hateful words you say do take their toll
When will you decide, that change is needed if we are truly to survive 
When will you believe, that we need tolerance and love to keep us alive

Why do you continue, to do the things that you know are wrong
Why do you accept, the atrocities that you have seen for so long
Why do you allow, just to watch, do nothing and just let it all be
Why do you care, the events in this world are not happening to me
