Poem

There is no plan here, there is no compromise.
We learn to live in fear, we endure and despise.
I can see the stars, snuffed out by the hate.
Though they wait for me, they know my true fate.
Misery has at last spoke, demanding a heart of sorrow.
My mind already broke, I'm leaving tomorrow.
Healing words fall upon my deaf ears.
Time doesn't stop when I'm faced by my fears.
If you watch the sky and watch the stars begin to cry,
know I've left, and am searching to die.
Faith lost, and falling with the new change.
A final cost, an old mind to rearrange.
If I am nothing, if I am no one,
I no longer sing, only looking to run.
Breaking this spell, cannot begin to be easy,
though I've endured Hell, through a time so sleazy.
I'm running towards your voice, running without a choice.
Drawn to a promise not made clear, yet you still remain here.
A faith broken by the silent sound, please if you are there strike me down..
