31 Jan 2019 1:47 PM Live your life and live it well Listen to the stories I tell Mom and dad did not raise me I was raised by Aunt Virgie and Uncle Steve My family was in an earthly hell Put there by a man with his own stories that he did not tell No one understood his pain Everyone knew that he was insane My mother I still talk to her She is strong but angry about all that occured She was not a saint it is plain to see But she did not want those trials for her family Misunderstood and divided we are Scattered about but still connected by heart We speak little and rarely eachother see But there is still love between us as it should be But we wonder about it all Trying to make sense and find purpose in the fall I never really felt wanted, I felt all was rejection I was someone elses child who needed protection I guess that is one reason I served Though I never went to battle I did my part unsung and unheard I worked to much as I raised you two I was always so busy and had little time for you But my heart is all love and always will be For the darling girls that God gave me I failed in my marriage and in that I failed you But I tried to fix it I did all that I could do Now you are young ladies all beautiful and grown Out in the world making choices of your own We did have some good times Fishing and camp fires and sneaking pies I am your dad and we have good memories to make Call me come see me for goodness sake Don't live your life as I have lived mine Full of worry, regret and time Live your life and live it well Make it a good story to tell
