Poem
It begins like any teenage romance movie. They’re at a party. Music is playing on the speakers. She’s been smashing buttons as Mileena and chomping through skulls. “Who’s next?” she dares a challenger. He approaches with no mercy in his eyes. Raiden vs Mileena. The battle is back and forth. In the end, she wins. He’d never been defeated at Mortal Kombat before. He’s dazzled and wants to win her heart. But, just as the laws of rom-com demand, She already belongs to someone. Someone not deserving of her. Still, he offers her a victory beer. As their hands touch at the bottle’s head and their eyes meet, Their love story begins, whether they know it or not. She leaves the party at 12:01 AM and he walks her out, Sending her off with a handshake and a wave. One day, the evil male that holds her heart, crosses the line For the very last time. She leaves. And now, her heart is free to love someone new. After the breakup cut-scene, the lovers meet again, The day of the homecoming football game. The winning touchdown is thrown, And in celebration, she grabs him by the face And the lovers share their first kiss. There is a moment or two of silence before The lovers embrace more passionately than before. They get into his Golden Cherokee with a Mr. Skratch sticker on the back And the lovers fly into the sunset to live happily ever after. Music swells, and the Teenage Rom-Com ends with a black screen. Roll Credits.
