Cindy my infamous old cat,
Often brings me part of a rat.

Sometimes a bird leg she brings.
Really, what can I do with those things?

Now she brought part of a squirrel.
I guess somehow he had his last whirl.

I assume you know which part brought.
The bushy part I would not have sought.

From the appearance of that tail,
He probably had plenty of tales to tell.

The rear fur was fine as any silk,
Oily as the buttercream on milk.

Rufous belly as great color known,
That tail when twitched orange shades were shown.

He loved our Italian cuisine,
Also those type of green beans. 

Sad to see him go in such a way.
I guess that Cindy was hungry that day. 

Our garden is just outside of a large wooded area. Squirrels come from the woods and eat our garden. They seem to love green apples, olives, and green beans. The squirrel when well fed is a very lovely animal though.
