Poem

They take over the mind first, and then the soul
And then work their way through the body
	Leaving a gaping hole

With not much to do, and with little support
All we can think about, is one word - 
	“Abort”

We talk ourselves in, and talk ourselves out
Left to our minds, with much to worry about
Eventually we share, with another we love
And slowly gain hope
	From somewhere up above

But not all who suffer, can rise from the great fall
Mental illness takes them over - 
	Leaving one desperate call

As much as we speak, and put others down
Our words can do more, than make others frown
So take out some time, from your busy life
Listen and help another,
	Rise above their strife

It may seem dumb, or to be of no avail
But the strongest fall harder;
	They suffer and become frail

This generation is ignorant, and has been caught unaware
Of the world hidden
	Behind those empty stares

Be careful, and handle with care
And give others hope, when no one is there
The road is long, and certainly tough
But sometimes comfort,
	Just isn’t enough

The battle is silent, and on uneven ground
And often times fear and sadness
	Takes away the sound

So look with your heart, and not with your eyes
You never know when silent support
	Can save someone’s life
