Poem

My Boys
how am I going to tell you 
    what I am thinking 
  unless I use words
      here I come.

You my sons will be loved
 more than words could say
     it`s the story of a 
         mother's love
 her joy and determinations.

Even in the darkness 
    there is a light
You are the light in my 
    dark dark world 
        without you
    life is a dessert.

I was needed and I needed them
           when I helped
I felt part of the family again
        I told them
there are hands we can reach
           and hearts
    to keep us warm.

I heard them screaming last night
       I saw them crying 
       but I knew how
    to make them smile
            I knew 
how to make them feel better.

Together let us pick up 
   all the broken pieces
as I got older I had to learn
    that sometimes
the road to joy can be
          indirect.

But the greatest gift 
I became like a lion
who knows his own 
      strength 
nobody will destroy 
    us anymore.

I will beg from tomorrow 
        and steal
every minute I can get
  to make you see
       strength
as you are my world.

Take everything I have
   and I will prepare 
you for the great game
    of life ahead of us.

The circle of love is not broken
     it expands wherever
           we go next
and you are coming with me
  as the world is to small
       for us here.

We will keep each other safe
for there is always imperfections
         everywhere.

A journey concluded and begun
with a new house filled with lots
       of love in there.
It tells of promises fulfilled.

Our past will be laid to rest 
as our future will be more
           secure.
Everything that happened before
    goes out the window.
Things end how they should    
     we made it at last.
