I wait to get out at the end of my shift
I want to see all of lifes gifts
Restless I turn to see the time stand still
I await the time so slowly passing by
In this monotonous gray of lifes decree
Work we must to enjoy lifes delights
But I know my heart lies in places  other
But alas my wark is integral to me
For not being here would mean homelessness for me
I recall the times when my greatest responsibility was to make my bed
And finish all in school that was said
But alas time flew and Im now grown old
So work I must to attain all gold
For work is what has become my destiny
The reality of everyones fantasy
So work I must to endeavour survival
In this here concrete jungle
