Poem

McGee was sitting by himself
In a quiet corner of the pub
Then softly closed the book he’d been reading
And gave it, a pat and a rub

When Finn walked in and saw McGee
He headed right to his table
As Finn sat down he wore a frown
For recognized the book by its label

He said to McGee “You don’t really believe
All the things that’s been writ in this book”
“Yes I do, and why? Don’t you?”
Said McGee with a puzzling look

Finn reached for the book and opened it wide
To the first page he’d chosen by chance
Finn pointed his finger down to a page
And both Finn and McGee took a glance

It spoke of a man who was swallowed alive
And stayed in the fish for three days
Then after three days he was spat on the beach
And stood up and walked on his way

“Now I ask you McGee, how can a man
Live through such a arduous task ”,
“I don’t know, said McGee ‘but the day I’m in heaven’
When I see him, I’ll be sure to ask”  


“How do you know which place he would go
It might NOT be heaven”, said Finn
“Well if that is the case” McGee said in hast
“I’ll leave it to You, to ask him”
