Talk is Cheap - Battle Rap Yo, Ima outcheek you… gimme that mic, I’m lethal, a viper ready to strike; and it ain’t gonna be pretty – not ladylike. Just gotta tell you straight up like it is… Dude, you got no place in this kinda biz. You’re stuff’s outdated like a relic from the past; you sputter and stutter like your tongue’s in a cast. Let’s face it your rhymes are weak, like watered-down wine, they’re kinda cheap. Your jive’s outclassed with no panache; stop finessing, you ain’t got no cash. All your rap's just silly and brash; you’re annoying as hell, like a heat rash – scratch! You’re style’s softer than cotton candy, more like verbal diarrhea – ooh that’s narsty; but mine’s rock solid as Stone Mountain granite, and I’m the goat, the best on the planet. Homie, you’ve got this all wrong, beating your chest like you’re King Kong; just slipping and sliding, ding-dong, ding-dong. Your raggedy rap's got no soul; your flow’s worn out and old. My flow’s pure 24-karat gold; yeah, mine’s original, fresh, and bold; Nah, you can’t duplicate this; I broke the mold! You think you’re a prince, but you’re a bullfrog. Betta hold on to your day job at MacDonald’s and don’t ever quit, ‘cus you can’t rap, not one tiny bit. Take my advice, stick to what you know, and leave the rapping to a real pro. You be joking but this ain’t no play play, my game’s drippin - I’m out to slay. I’m finna fillet you, have a feast… I’m your nightmare - can’t touch this beast. Man, you should know not to mess with me; you’re outta your league, playing with a tsunami! You need to stop straight tripping, like the Big Bad Wolf just flexing. Huffing and puffing a lotta hot air, even the three little piggies don’t care. Get outta here, you a second-rate clown... ‘cus I’m The One, I wear the crown. Tryna imitate me, you’ll always be a “hasbeen;” get on your knees, bow down to your queen! Peace out… 06-19-2018 Contest: 8 Mile Style Poetry Contest Sponsor: Nick Trim Placement: 2nd Terms: Flexing – showing off; Outcheek – to be more impudent; Ima – I will; Finessing – getting more out of a situation Homie – close friend; Tryna – trying to; Goat – greatest of all time Play play – to describe acts which would be considered foolish Slay – succeed in doing something amazing; Narsty - more than nasty; Drippin – something that is awesome; Finna – fixing to going to Straight tripping – to have a fallacious notion about one’s self Straight up – to be right or for real
