Poem

Is intelligence and  imagination
Scripted and controlled?
Why is technology and innovation 
Making imagination consoles?
We re still using the same combustion engine
From 100 years ago!

Kids used to play cops and robbers
Visualizing, creating and pretending
Making pretend environments
Of whatever world they wanted to play in
Now they just do it with a touch of a button
'n' Watch what comes on the screen in front of 'em  

little boxes to punch in numbers
To speed up the process
The destruction 
Of what’s constructive?
The repression of what we re blessed with? 

New apps for grammar
Are terrifying to me
Where are we headed? 
If the popular thing 
is the need to run to an app dependently?

instead of building and yearning
for a solid foundation of learning?

Does anyone else stop and worry
That if we get anymore little apps or boxes
We may be creating and initiating
self destructive paradoxes?

What exact future is being foretold?
Does anyone else stop and worry
Of the strengths we are weakening? 
Or what our future will hold?
