Poem
Old evening, Sun-set, No more classrooms next , it’s a vacation till July be coming, Inside sand we played , making castles of clay, Chit-chatting with the doodie, mapping to spend holidays. Soon a beardy man, in a weirdie manner orders us to walk back home. Air is cooler, we wanted to stay more, Still we packed our legs for bidding a goodbye roam, He is their with two watering cans, tap tubes , Sits between the plants , carefully noticing the marching ants. I peeped to understand whats his plan, Friends could not wait, afraid of the night and getting late, Plus this old man has a look suspicious , face is hidden , Holding a knife he keeps the scissor grounded , Just like a bad kidnapper, perhaps our minds over-judged. Now what I have is two options, To be a good listener or a keen observer, Friends left me beside this theft , Boxing soil, voices could be heard perfect. His head almost 180 , lips read “You’re still here kid!”, “Hmm … Yeah … I am “, “Could you please connect the pipe to the taps over there”, I did the help , asked him “what are you after?” “Am the gardener, looking over our plants here”, “So you are a Plant Doctor who treats them better” “Haha.” Then he opens magic from a tiny bag, Tells me these are the flowers which he will sow here, Sunflowers, roses , sweet fragrance alongside little Tulips , and Lilies. I loved them, watered them in the garden. We discussed a lot about plants and seasons, He is a bit sadder about the birds in summers, Not well feeded, plus flying faraway places to fulfill their thirst, Unfortunate ones are killed and its on us to better this worsening situation. “So what can be done Doctor?” “If we could provide them a pot of water wherever its open, Can scatter rice and beans for such empty stomachs”, Feathers will flourish and will cherish the air they are living, Make them happier , nature can become lovelier. This night, I hope to take care of the nature just like him, Try to teach everyone the joy of planting and feeding.
