Poem
In The Urban Open Space 1 I was standing in the middle of urban open space...... The place was lonely as I couldn't see any similar creature like me.... I started staring at the towers of residential apartments. Few blocks dark, few were glowing.... But I couldn't see any bods.... I started gazing at the blue sky and the orange incandescents, the only fixed and glittering star, the vivid moon, the trees stood firm holding their ground, the blinking red light on the towers.... I was gazing at the moon and it's aura.... The bats were flying high....I was listening the creeping sounds... The sound of automotives .... Though they were moving far away but still their produced noise was conquering every obstacle..... and the sound of silence and the sound from with in which, wanna out burst in to cry..... In the late evening, in the dark I wasn't able to distinguish if these are trees or just the dark Shadows....I started asking questions, lips were constant and the voice from with in mumbling, to these trees as if they all are there stood constant and listening to me.... I was asking them " why are you standing fixed, are you happy, are you listening me, why are you not scared, do you scream, or you are as silent as I'm right now here..... Silent but talking.... Do you love.... Do you fight.... Do you care what I'm asking all about..... Blunder thoughts out broken..... Then I felt that quiet environment..... Only my thoughts were resounding every where.... I went closer to these trees and the near by bushes.... Though lit by the bright moon but it's only the darkness which was prevailing.... I saw the the blinking light in that darkness like the LEDs blinking.... AHH! The firefly!!! It has it's own light.... It was there as if it was trying to show me something inside that darkness.... Alas! one more!.... One more!... They are appearing all sudden, one by one, as if they do read me and understand me that I'm still not able to see there.... What did they want me to see.... Are they trying to guide me????? .... Read part two ~Ashok Kumar Mishra
