Poetry Society

The Poetry Society is a long-established British organization founded in 1909 to support poetry, poets, and the appreciation of verse. It has promoted poetry through publications, events, awards, education, and the speaking of poems aloud, and it remains one of the best-known poetry organizations in the United Kingdom.

Example

Members of the Poetry Society gathered for a reading, where new poets shared their work and experienced performers brought the poems to life aloud.
