Poeticise

Poeticise means to give something a poetic quality or to express it in a more imaginative, lyrical way. A writer may poeticise plain language, a memory, or an ordinary scene by using vivid imagery, rhythm, and figurative language instead of direct, everyday wording.

The spelling poeticize is also common.

Example

She poeticised the rainy street:
lamps trembled in silver pools,
and every window kept a small moon.
