Nature poets are poets whose work focuses especially on the natural world-landscapes, weather, plants, animals, birds, and the changing seasons. Rather than using nature only as background, they often treat it as the poem's central subject and source of meaning, observation, or spiritual reflection.
Not every poem about a tree or a bird makes a poet a nature poet; the label usually fits writers whose work repeatedly returns to the living world and to close observation of it.
