Imperfect rhyme-also called slant rhyme-uses words that sound close but do not match exactly, such as home and come. Writers use it when they want a rhyme effect without a fully exact sound match.
Forced rhyme is different: it happens when a poet stretches word order, grammar, or word choice just to make a rhyme work. Because these terms are sometimes used loosely, the intended meaning should be clear from context.
