I once burned a book
It was not a statement

It was the meaningless act of lighting a match

And dropping it on the inside of a paper spine column

Destruction to create new functions

Knowledge to heat, pervasive philosophical interactions

Kurt's own universe of coincidence and irrationality

Ended with ice nine

Mines coiled in embers snared

This is a very clever poem about the belief that the destruction of a book is sacriligious in some sense but you play this down and even go as far as to say its necessary in order for new ideas to develop.
