I have been writing plays and poetry for as long as I can remember, yet because I write about things I know that most people dont talk about, I cant get any where in the city I live in. Stop writing for awhile because I couldnt take the rejection. But Have started back because of my soon-to-be-husband, just want to know should I give up writing plays? HELP ME PLEASE.

Give up writing plays?
The fact that you have been rejected should not stop you. It really depends on whether you have anything to say. I have had times in my writing experience where i simply felt i had run out of things i wanted to talk about! When this happens i go and do something else (lol, washing never seems to go away).

I believe writing is very much the journey. Each piece of work adds to the previous, each experience builds in some way to the work which ultimately says exactly what you want it to say.

Trust yourself. :-)

Write for yourself. I do.
Read with pleazure what you write. I do.

Do not write to please others. I don't.

Do not write to turn your precious words into money. I don't.

Be pleased when others smile at your writings. I am.

Be not displeased when others frown at your writings. I'm not.

You then will always enjoy writing.

Always enjoy reading.

And after all is said and done.... the pleazures of the words which

are the treazures of your mind.... will be the riches you truly seek.

And thus enrich your life tangibly.
