Contest Description

What to submit?

Ellip is a form of poetry I wish to expand upon. Think, the brevity of a haiku with a twist: three lines or words using three syllables each. They are not limited to nine syllables and can be longer than three lines as long as each group is an ellip. Here are some examples:

Example #1

Now I know
When I tend
Then I grow

Example #2

Rising sun
Earthly end
Once again

Example #3

Leave behind
What does fog
Live clearly

The format and punctuation is not important; they may be written horizontally:

Example #4

Summer days... Sizzling air... Sprinklers

Example #5

Rivers meet... Bluffs surround... Seasons bloom

Prizes:

First Prize, Glory
Second Prize, Glory
