My Fiction Becoming My Reality

Blog Posted:9/6/2012 1:36:00 AM
I always wondered : What If Fiction Becomes Reality?
What about if I am living right now my own fiction? Unwillingly. Do poets have the power of self-suggestion? Am I making any sense?

Museum of Contemporary Life

Lazy afternoons on easels

Maples giggle loud with

Blue and yellow mixed in

Withered wrinkles sink in

Joggers run in fear of

Secret trails end in abyss

As the sun stabs days in

Bloody madness grabs the

People old vanish from

Emptiness sits down by me

Artists mutilate

Tempera in tubes succumbs

Painters shoot apocalypse in

Signatures escape through

Night becomes obsessive pitch

Ghosts invade museum closed

...and I walk by with my

as reduced to it I am...

No one knows I carry

The Portfolio of my Fate...

You BETTER write something else!...I hardly get to read you anymore as it is!...I'm a poor interpreter of poetry (I have trouble with Mother Goose) but I still know a good poem when I see one and this is a good one! "People old vanish from benches...Emptiness sits down beside me" Whew! it! - Tim

I can relate to your idea. What about if we are living the fiction (reality) that we constantly create for ourselves? Love the poem. Ruben.

great descriptions. your blog part reminds me of a movie where a woman was writing what she thought was fiction, but whatever she wrote actually happened to a man...enjoyed your poem :)

I love this Iolanda, it speaks volumes, you've created a masterpiece, and yes, I do believe that fiction becomes reality, you note it well with your brush and breath in hand, love and light vie
