Suzanne is a Retired Registered Nurse certified in Med/Surg. She began writing poetry as a result from meditation during stress relief classes. Since retiring she has participated in poetry groups both in the Community and on-line. She is originally from Australia but has lived in the Hawaiian Islands for most of her adult life. Her poetry is a mixture from both places as she has spent time living between both Australia and Hawaii. In her writing she has explored many forms but finds ease of expression mostly in free verse.

Her poems are included in an Anthology "A Bridge to ALL Nations."with other poets from  Connie's site:

Poetry for Thought.

I'd Like to Say This About That

Firstly...
Hello to All the Dear Poet Friends I have made here:
Sorry I haven't been around lately.  I have stopped in briefly
and  it made me really happy to see your comments on my poems
and that you haven't forgotten me.
After Christmas I hope to have more time for reading and commenting.
I wish you all Seasons Greetings.
One of my dear lifelong friends has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
Until something like this happens we take our health and life so much for granted.
To those who are suffering from health problems or worry for loved ones' illnesses
I send empathetic thoughts.
Take care of each other.
Hugs,
SuZ

Although we are suppose to think happy thoughts at holiday time, in reality there is often sadness, illness, hurt and pain, a multitude of things can dim the bright Christmas lights if we let them. However by sharing love and well wishes, we can lighten the load, and share the love and a real Christmas spirit. I am sending a hug, Suz....and a Merry Christmas sense of love and hope.

Hello, Suz. Sorry to hear about your friend. Acceptance might be the most desirable outcome of the grieving process. Try to build on your relationship's strengths ... offering your friend support and comfort while dealing with your own grief. My best wishes.

Suz, Bless you and your friend. You are so right Suz, I lost a friend 2 years ago (pancreatic cancer) 58 years old and it really jogs your perception of reality and health and what we take for granted!

Suz, it's good to see you here at the blogs. There are so many people that come and go, it's hard to keep up on everyone and when you come like this to say hello, it makes me happy to realize you have not forgotten us. So sorry about your friends. Everywhere I turn, I am hearing of people with such difficulties and truly we need to be grateful for the things good in our lives.

Suz, it's so good to hear from you, I was wondering about you. I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend. You're right, we do take our health for granted. Our time here on earth is so short, we need to be using it wisely. My prayers go out for your friend and her loved ones, for peace and comfort during the difficult time ahead. ~hugs~
