Years ago, I bought my daughter one of those board books which allows you to insert a picture at the back. Then the face of the child appears in a variety of cute photos, costumed.
Tonight, she got nostalgic. Wanted to flip through the pages. We got to the back of the book which shows MORE of the picture, it shows that she is sitting on a lap, held.
Then she asked me who was holding her in the picture, as she is so little.
STUPID ME. I say to her, "Look at the hairy arm in the picture. It's Daddy! Mommy's arms aren't hairy, right?"
She pauses, studies my arm and then looks up at me with a smile
"I don't know about that, Mommy," she quips. "They seem a little hairy to me."
Wasn't I just saying the other day that I missed her?
Tomorrow I buy Nair ... or a weedwhacker.
This one is for Frank! His kinda funny blog.. okay, maybe not as wickedly funny, but maybe a smilemaker all the same.
Get better, Frank!!!
HEY!!! How about we give Frank a SOUP version of a 21 gun salute?
If you have a funny, personal story, a "smilemaker" (that of course fits into the TandC of Soup, not too bawdy!) POST A BLOG ABOUT IT FOR FRANK! Let's show him we miss him and would like to see him back!
Who next? We need some laughter!!!
