You would like the approach of an Episcopal Church in our city who offered ashes at our local winery on Ash Wednesday evening - Ashes to Go. They hired a local saxophone player who performed religious songs in a side room of the restaurant where folks were invited to receive the ashes and a pledge card of repentance. They called it Sax and Ashes (pun for "repent in sackcloth and ashes"). I considered it a bit off the wall.
