I WAS ME

First I was me,

Selfish as can be,

Wanting everything from A to Z

And wanting it all for me.

Then I became we,

A part of an us.

I learned to share, give and take

I learned how to trust.

Next I was you,

Believe me it's true.

I would rather give than receive,

It was you I wanted to please.

Now I am them,

A family man.

Giving my children,

All that I can.

If you look real close,

It is easy to see,

I am older and wiser,

And no longer a me.

The Radio Inside My Head
Blog Posted:9/27/2012 10:45:00 AM

I have a brother who “channels” for other people.  Not really a psychic or mystic or fortune teller – he does, what he calls “readings” for people.  He says he just talks with them for a while, holds their hands and meditates together.  Then he says it’s as if he has a radio in his head and it connects to the signals being sent by his subject and he is able to tell them things about themselves and helps them with decisions they have to make.  Sounds pretty odd to me, but he has many repeat “customers” and really a pretty large demand for his services through word of mouth promotions from those he has helped.

I try to keep an open mind and have intended to get a reading myself, but the geographic distance and the life interferences have prevented that from happening.  But the more I think about – the more I can relate, because, I too, have a radio inside my head.  My radio, however, is tuned to another completely different kind of station.  My head-radio does not pick up signals from other people; it picks up songs that have not yet been sung – poems that have not yet been read.

My brother shares with other people, by word of mouth, what he hears from their radio signals – I put down on paper the words of the songs I hear on my radio.  I think, my brother thinks, me writing poems and song lyrics is pretty odd.  Funny how the world works.

I just posted the latest song being sung on my head radio – “Your Eyes Can Wander But Your Heart Cannot”.  It was playing on my head radio when I woke up this morning and was being sung in a Country Western style by a woman with a wonderful voice.

What station, I wonder, is your head radio tuned to?

I am glad that the few of you who posted here can relate to my blog. Not everyone has that head-radio but the few of us who do are truly a kindred spirit and that is why I love PS. Andrea - in another world, in another life - I think I was or will be your next Joe. ;-)

You know those people who try to find a station and they keep twisting the dial? That is my head right now. I move between the Disney channel of music to complete static to the tunes of the seventies to classics to blues to the standards. Occasionally I go punk, old school Depeche Mode (Bet you have no clue;) ) My dial keeps returning to the kiddie station the most. Want to see what is in my head (be frightened. be very frightened) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tymCKTqxtaM My girl has fallen for this guy head over heels. Me <---I'm more this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WWUaNnkb- I'm just riding those high frequency waves...one day at a time. Love this blog! Something different and real

MIne is just tuned to 99.5. The one I listen to driving to and from work every day. it plays music from 90's to today and I always seem to have some song or other in my mind. But songs already written and now being played on the radio! (your brother sounds fascinating. I think my husband needs someone like that to help him know what to do with his life!)

I'm trying to stay tuned into what the Lord wants me to do each day through the Holy Ghost. Sounds cliche but its true and not always easy.

I wonder if you and your brother have the same thing going on - he just applies the words to other people and you arrange them into songs and poems. I think it's neat.
