Two Little Surprises

Today’s bike ride I ran across A tiny rabbit in distress: He somehow got himself tangled In a fisherman’s discarded Fishing line that was wrapped around His neck and lodged between his teeth. After untangling the line And freeing him from discomfort He seen fit to leave two tiny, Moist, brown pellets in my left hand. I uttered, now that’s gratitude! On the way home I thought about What just took place and I began To chuckle most of the way home.
