i joined soup a year back...total strangers welcomed me ,gave me positive feedback....i felt this site was a heaven for budding poets like me....but in these past some days i feel that this heaven has been smwhat messed up...but i have strong faith in all the ppl here...we will clean up the mess soon and thanks TPS for helping... :)

I love what James Fraser said in his comment........very sensible! I agree, James. Are we not grown ups?? Sometimes it is more like being back in middle school to see Soupers swinging mud back and forth. Happens much too often.

There are "Soaps" for every taste: Soap-a-rific, Soap-isticated, or Soap-ageddon... : ) We should name them. Here...ideas to pick a good title: "Lyer Lyer"... "Curl Up & Lye"..."Slippery Soap"... "Bubbling Trouble" ..."Doubley Bubbley"..."Soap-positories"... "Welcome Foam" ... "Foam, Sweet Foam"... "Ben Dover: Worth Picking Up!" ... "Jailtime Aphrodisiac".... : D

When I first joined PS, someone welcomed me with: "Welcome to PoetrySoap!" The person had mis-spelled "Soup"....so I was under the impression that the site was sort of a Soap Opera for poets to tangle and vent a bit. I began welcoming newcomers with: "Welcome to PoetrySoap, I hope these will be The Days of Your Life, a Guiding Light, and like a General Hospital for your soul to recover in!" -- until another member contacted me to explain the proper spelling. Up until then I didn't realize this was a poetry site....actually, many times I still forget when checking out the blogs.

Isn't there enough trouble/s in this fantastic world without having to add to them here. C'mon poets, let your words do the talking within the rules, and allow common sense to adhere to these rules and ALLOW poetry to be the winner. Not I'm better than you, or what ever ridiculous policies that have become apparent. Let us adults stand up and be counted, and allow the children on the Soup, to learn from us adults. I rest my case, forever :)

"•Profanity (Curse Words or Abbreviated Curse Words) •Nasty Comments (E.g. "This is CRAP!!!") •Vulgarity •Hateful Expressions (E.g. "I should have killed her") •Racism" as per your home page. Er, Occultism??? What do you see as occult and what occult poetry would you delete? I find it odd that you would disallow poetry that may be considered occult & yet allow poetry that is violence inspired --- bang bang, I shot her down.... and as far as spats go, its part of being human and (unfortunately) some PROVOKE intentionally.
