Debbie, I am not sure if this is an actual "industry" term, but I did find this term on the web, READ ALOUDS! Here, Sis, and I am very excited by this. I so remember many of these books... the Borrowers... Charlotte's Web (lots of area for discussion with this one!) Black Beauty (I was planning on trying this one in about six months...) OH BOY... another nice list. Some of the books I am already reading Verity at age 4 are recommended for age 6! Todays words... lol... thought I'd share... MUTE and AUDIBLE:)

Seriously, I do have pictures of myself around that age somewhere but I would have to get my grandaughter to scan them or whatever because I DO NOT know how to do that stuff. You were a pretty baby who grew up to be a pretty lady...

that's a really cute pic, debbie :) what did I look like at five? - horrendous! I had a pudding bowl haircut and my mum always dressed me in boys' clothes (she must've had a secret yearning for a son!) my grandmother used to make some of my clothes by hand, and once, while leafing through a photo album, she remarked: "you look just like little orphan annie in that one!" haha

Hey, I was sweet looking like that too!!! I had really short hair because I "twirled it" into knots and my mom had to keep cutting it off because of the knots. I think I never lost this nervous energy that goes into everything i Love doing. I have liked little boys since i was small too. I liked some boy named Greg Anderson when I was in kindergarten. Funny how I still remember their names. I had crushes on at least 20 guys in my elementary and junior high school days.

yes I have always loved men! I know some folks don't think I like men much but its not true, I just have always insisted on being an equal and many men don't like that LOL

Well look at that little cutie. I'll have to hunt down some pics of me when I was 5. I was a rough little fart. My first girlfriend?...hmmm. Must have been Kara Holloway in the 5th grade It's not like we really did anything together, and I only agreed to be her "boyfriend" because I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I didn't have a serious girlfriend until the 11th grade.

I had naturally curly flaxen blond hair and big green eyes. My first boyfriend was Danny Simila. Although, I can't remember being in love with him, I only remember my sisters telling me he was my boyfriend. LOL hugs, catie :)

What a cutie little Debbie! : ) My first girlfriend was Susie (Susanita in Spanish), she "kissed me" on the lips (first time) and we were in "love" during two weeks. It happened 37 years ago (I was 7).
