I  am a writer, a poet. I love  Renaissance art, classical music, nature, meditation, dreaming.  I collect old books, vintage clothing and jewelry  I seem to like anything old,  I adore the old house Victorian house where I live. and I often feel out of place in this world.

I would describe my poetry as dark and sad, but I can write happy for contests or if the mood hits me, but my style of writing is definitely  deep, dark and sad~~

"Everything is possible for he that believes" Mark 9:23

I have been writing since I was a child,in an attic room, I wrote my first poems, my Grandmother was my muse and mentor.  And  now, I write of my journey in this life, the path, and all the twists and turns, along the way. I write of death, sadness, happiness, of nature and faith.

I write the poem, I paint a picture with words, I am a storyteller, I am a voice for the spirit of my "People" of the First Nation~~

Creative Layouts Contest Judged

Blog Posted:8/31/2013 5:10:00 PM
Hi Everyone, I judged the contest today and it sure was amazing to me to read all the creative layouts that I was presented with, sadly many did not follow the contest requirements and although good poems could not be considered, but those who got it right, just did so wonderful, well done, not just in the layouts but the depth of the writing,  it was not an easy contest and much work was put into the layouts that is very clear.

Now the requirements were as follows:

It had to be a creative layout, no just left to right poems or centered.

It could be any form that was at least 10 lines, but not a series of short forms and by the way, "I Don't Know" is not a form of poetry so those poems were excluded.

It had to be a new poem, so I requested the date to be entered at the bottom.

The title was to be just one word, that best described your poem

What a thrill to arrive home after a 3 day trip, and see your results, dear Constance. I am so pleased and grateful for this challenge, and that you liked what I wrote for you. It was fun to play around with words in this way....I enjoyed it very much! Thank you for your creative idea!

Sorry you could not consider them all because of their not following the rules, Constance. This happens a lot to us judges. I had a lot of rule followers in my simple acrostic contest so I ended up with quite a few winners! thanks for my win in your contest. I will certainly check out the other winners. Now I am off to make dinner!! (maybe put up a new contest too).
