I  am a writer, a poet. I love  Renaissance art, classical music, nature, meditation, dreaming.  I collect old books, vintage clothing and jewelry  I seem to like anything old,  I adore the old house Victorian house where I live. and I often feel out of place in this world.

I would describe my poetry as dark and sad, but I can write happy for contests or if the mood hits me, but my style of writing is definitely  deep, dark and sad~~

"Everything is possible for he that believes" Mark 9:23

I have been writing since I was a child,in an attic room, I wrote my first poems, my Grandmother was my muse and mentor.  And  now, I write of my journey in this life, the path, and all the twists and turns, along the way. I write of death, sadness, happiness, of nature and faith.

I write the poem, I paint a picture with words, I am a storyteller, I am a voice for the spirit of my "People" of the First Nation~~

A Frozen Message . . .

Dear poet friends

Here I am in the frozen North under piles of snow and bitter cold. I am basically in hibernation, for some odd reason I am feeling the Canadian winter this year. Just getting over a nasty Flu.  It is really bad here and in the nursing home I work at we have lost about 20 patients so far, since Christmas, they were just too old and frail to fight it.  Very sad is my job at times.
I want to thank everyone who has left comments on my poetry and for any wins I have received, there is no way I can catch up on the comments so I hope this will be acceptable as my thanks.  I still enjoy the contests very much and Poetry Soup has always been my haven.

Love Constance

So nice to hear from you, Constance. Happy that you are over the flu. It was really a nasty strain this year. Sorry to hear about the losses where you work, twenty is a high number anywhere. Stay warm, love and hugs, Catie :)

Two sick babes that's us! Seems I can't stay well? Anyway hopefully we are both on the mend now [now that I caved and went to the Dr. grrr xrays tomorrow & those antibiotics are hell on my I do feel a bit better] Awful you had to work sick Constance. I know what you mean about the nursing homes I worked for years in one when I was young. It's a sad place. Light & Love

hello, Constance. So nice to see you blogging! that's sad about the many patients you have lost recently. It is one of the nastiest winters in a while, at least here in Utah this year. Hope to see a lot of you this month!!

It seems that the Holidays bring much stress around the elderly and the takes mental strength to work in the environment you, sweet poetess, do. Keep warem, put some logs in the fireplace of your imagination and sip some hot tea... Love, iolanda

We have had a pretty good winter on this coast, a couple snowfalls, but not too much accumulation here on the mid-island, nothing I needed to shovel at least. but it has been colder this winter, just less precipitation. Today its warmed up to 6, not too bad and its sunny. The colds that have been going around seem to last for months. I have been lucky so far to avoid them. Take care Constance, Spring and inspiration are just around the corner
