Well I am not sure what to say here except to tell you that much of my story is told through my poetry...I have often written about my journey... I have a brother and sister I love dearly and a mom with dementia who doesn't know me but I love her dearly also...I have many good friends and a kitty named Layla who is much loved and very spoiled! I have alot of interests including playing guitar,keyboard and harmonica,making all kinds of crafts,writing and cooking to name a few...I worked in resort hotels and clubs for many years so I've moved around a lot but now my home is in Pennsylvania which I love.

I'm concerned

I am starting to become concerned about the discord here lately. I have had some bad times in the last year and was away from the soup for awhile. But as soon as I felt like I could start writing again,I wanted to come back here. It felt like I had been away from home!There are so many talented poets and really good people here and it thrills me to feel I have made friends from all over the world.Now lately there seems to be some bad and negative energy around.I truly hope this will end very soon because this really is a haven to alot of people. I'm one of them...thanks for listening and take good care of yourselves...PEACE and LOVE to all...

I agree with Joann !! If someone bothers you, block them. So far I have not had to do this, and hope I never will...but with a click of my mouse, I will simply send someone away should I ever need too.

I believe people should be careful with freedom of speech, it wasn't given to be abused. Re-read what you write, and think before you send. Tongue is swift with ability to hurt. We just lost Carol Sunshine, because someone told her she wasn't good, "What is good?" The amount of views we get? That can be forged. The amount of comments we get? That's cause we comment too.The amount of contests we win? That is cause we follow rules and apply skill. I am on this site cause you need me, and I need you. Thank you Deb for posting this blog.

1) Many of the 'heartbeats' of soup have left or are leaving or are dealing with life pressure and are not here as often. 2) the world seems more violent prone (I know I know all an illusion. Violence, war and the such are no more or less than 1000 years ago... there has been such horror and brutality in the news recently) I sometimes think poets take the current status in and then spit it out. I, too, am concerned. I also think that snarls lead to more snarls--unfortunately! We are just human, and some here are feeling hurt, misunderstood and/or ridiculed... when they just expected a connection with others who are also creative. Hope it gets better. Good blog, hon, hope it gets better too
