Hi Everyone. This is just a short update about John Heck. The power was turned back on earlier this week at his mother's house, so at least he is warm, dry, has light, and can cook. Yay! He has no computer at this time to come online, but I know he is thinking of all of you, and so Thankful of all those who gave from their hearts to help he and his mother in that time of crises. John's mom, Barbara, went up to Washington state about ten days ago to spend some time with her daughter there. She won't be returning to Brooklyn until sometime in January. So, that gives John some peace of mind, knowing his mom is warm and cared for. Plus, it gives him some time to make repairs and get the house back in order. FEMA has came through for them and offered a small settlement to help them with repairs, and her Homeowners insurance also is helping out. She did not have flood insurance. I know he would still be delighted to hear from all of you, maybe just a quick note to let him know you're thinking of him at this time. Love and hugs to all, catie :)
