Team PoetrySoup's Blog
 PoetrySoup is an internet poetry community that encourages the writing of poetry through community involvement and support. Founded in February of 2005, this Free online poetry website allows professional and amateur poets, from around the world, to post their poetry online and receive reviews. This allows poets to increase exposure from their work while perfecting their craft. For those who simply like to read poetry, PoetrySoup also publishes poems in many categories and forms for wholesome reading pleasure. PoetrySoup also sponsors free poetry contests with cash awards once every four months. The PoetrySoup International Poetry Contest is free poetry contest open to all forms and genres of poetry. This contest now awards $1000 in prizes yearly and is open to all poets either with or without previously published poetry. Only electronic submissions through the PoetrySoup website are accepted.

Only letters and numbers...no special characters

We had to make some changes to what is allowed when entering your first and last name on PoetrySoup. Because of upcoming enhancements, we can only allow letters, numbers, and a couple special characters (dashes, spaces, and periods) in the last name and first name fields. Thanks for your cooperation.
