I think it is Craig Cornish's contest= Dark-Black-... Happy- Sad. Don't be afraid to post anyways and we will gladly read it... Your work is wonderful and a joy to read. Lee

I usually spend about two days reading and rereading the poems in a contest, ranking them, rearranging, etc. It is miuch harder to judge other work than to write my own. I do not want to hurt feelings of anyone that took the time to enter a contest.

Contests come and go... some fast, some slow. You're a member with a blog... Throw the name out there and we'll read it with or without a contest.

I can answer the last part.... It takes them as long as it takes them.... I have some entries from years ago that were never judged , still sitting in pending, the contest hosts memberships expired, or they moved on or they lost interest and never judged their contests. Most of us try to get it done within a few days of it filling up, My current contest is full and closed for the last few days, it will not be finalized for several more days as I work full time and need a day off to devote to the judging , sometime when I have several hours in a row free, which I just don't have most work days. Some judges have an idea of placement almost immediately , others take a little longer

I have done the same thing--worked on a poem for a contest and then when I went to post it --it was gone. Filled up but the nice thing is we still can post our poem and try and see if it will fit another contest. Not sure on the time to judge a contest. love phyl
