What a Man

Written by: Christopher Wellbelove

What a man you we're
To take into the ring
Two young children eight and ten
Screaming each time they heard the bell ring

What a man you we're
For taking her on
Sure she asked for that
Each and every time you hit her

What kind of man were you
Each new round you fought
What were you thinking of
When you held them down

Did you really think they'd thank you
For every lesson you have at the end of every punch
Did you continue to wonder
As you waited alone for their praise

So many knew what kind of man you was
At to this day are shamed by what they did not do
But there will only one place for the blame
The kind of man you will always be
