Home Opening the Door

Home Opening the Door

I had heard that she said she would
Forget about the bad and remember good
Times she would remember everyday,
But now her father is far away.

Being with her would have meant so much;
Talking to him and feeling his soft touch;
Loved his laugh and often sweet smiles;
We have been separated by many miles.

Suppose today he were to instantly die
And all night long in my bed did cry;
My dad did pray for who I do adore;
Next day was there opening the door.
