Just me

Written by: Audrey Hays

Every day I feel empty inside
Beaten by the world's eyes
Where I want to die
Cause if I'm me
and do my best to try
Why live for that resort of "paradise"?

Why not rise above the shallow end
but travel among the treasures that
lay forgotten in our depths?
The countless hours someone has denied
their way to live
And what clothes they set out to dirty
There's a long list of which the troubled ones
don't give

When were thirteen, we strive for thirty
To pass the phase of "growing up"
Becoming the man or woman we are
Many reasons may be behind my fears
But it's really my faults that have developed
me over my sixteen years
