Upon the presence of spring flowers comes a drenching rain. After the rain dies down, the raindrops rest upon the petals like diamonds; sparkling from an earlier sun. A soft breeze wakens the flowers, shakes their petals as if to alert them to quench their thirst. After all, the strong sun may not shine upon petals that are fragile for the rest of the day. At least the lasting raindrops will give them nourishment to withstand tomorrow’s stronger winds. Dusk begins to creep in gradually as the stars are left hidden under grey skies; relying on the moon’s illuminating soft light to show their soft existence. Raindrops that remain will become windows that will show how spring flowers learned to dance in their puddles, thus careful not to drown their bodies under restless waters. Until then, the flowers will live in the shadows under the moonlight’s glare while it captivates the essence of their beauty through shades of darkness. Tomorrow the sun may rise to dry those raindrops that rested upon a bed of petals. Those raindrops that is, that brought down with them reflections of spring flowers.
