Ingleside

Written by: Merle Manu

I remember
a night when you held me
and I dreamt of roses
blooming,
on the ceiling, and
ornaments in gold,
wax dripping in
a frisbee
on the floor. I
dreamt my tooth
came loose,
and we heard
the whispering
of pages
turning
as
branches scraped
masking taped
cellophaned
windows against
the cold.
