Bath Time

Bath Time

Every evening
around about five
I pinch my cellulose
to make sure I’m alive.

Long-ago-child
last rings in my tub
now soaps up her own kids,
rub a dub dub.

Towels at attention,
the bathroom is dry
if I need a re-run
my daughter’s near-by.
