Winter's Blanket

Written by: craig cornish

Ah winter, I find warmth in its' chill,
In the quiet of the rolling hills
As they're covered by small
White pieces of a winter sky.

There's warmth in the ice coated trees
That gleam in the sun.
A forest whose more delicate members
Bow, as if to some unknown king.

I know it's cold,
I can feel winters' breath on my skin,
But I have been more cold in summer
Without the warmth I feel within...
