Have you ever had heartbreak?
Thought life was over and what would it take
To mend a heartbreak

You have to build a bridge
Span it from ridge to ridge
To mend a heartbreak

You must swim an ocean and a sea
If you ever want to be
Able to mend heartbreak

You must climb every hill
Smell every daffodil
To mend a heartbreak

You must run every race
Try to measure your pace
To mend a heartbreak

Although you are racked with pain
You know it will happen again
You will have to mend heartbreak

For falling in love is part of life
Losing lover, husband and wife
Again you have to mend heartbreak

Then we all know a time will come
You will find that special one
And you will never have to mend heartbreak
