A Box of Crayons

Written by: Gelacia Villegas

Beautiful lovely pinks
Are no comparisons to your rosy cheeks
Your eyes are a sparkling hazel
That can never be copied
Your skin has a lovely glow
That gold will never have
You are as elegant as the black night itself
So many bright colors—
Red, orange, yellow
May be brighter than the sun
But never as bright as you
You make me feel relaxed
Like the purple in a mood ring
You are my box of crayons
The one with endless and vivid colors
That a person can only dream of
You are as beautiful as the rainbows
That glow after a graying thunderstorm
