My Last LP

Written by: Daniel Larson

Been in the rain,
     stood by the flood,
Rode the last train
     long through the mud.
Sang one more song
     that set me free;
Still don't belong
     in memory.

Can walk alone
     under a mask,
Carry on loan
     all that they ask,
Then pay the price
     for what is owed,
Going through twice
     all things untold.

Still she sings sweet
     on morning's rise,
With voice complete
     and blinded eyes.
Tomorrow's come
     from high on throne,
When the day's done
     and songbird's flown.
