Filtering the Dark

Written by: julie heckman

Many fine years I spent filtering the dark,
Postponing real time, always too stark.

Until my clock ceased to measure the day,
Unleashing my own darkness I did pray.

With courage you pulled back the aqua sea,
To move more gracefully, among the free.

Many year I spent not being very
productive. Until the day where I realized
I was getting no where. I began to work
harder and grew more forceful
which made me more free.
