Rain Drops

Solemn is writ in the skies above,
The drought erased with showers of love
Warm as the dew on a sunkist rose,
Pattering gentle on the misty windows

Slipping down fogged glassy pane,
Thirst quenching wondrous rain.
The smell like laundry caught on the line
Long ago memories nostalgia’s sunshine

Times of bubbling barefoot sweet,
Muddy puddles tepid on tender little feet.
A child seeks only for the here and now
Worry-free upon the smooth brow.

Taken for granted, buried in a childs mind.
Oasis for the fountain of youth sublime
Of all the things great and small
Bliss is captured in the rainfall.
