Words and Reason

Written by: Romeo Della Valle

Words-stringed together in rhyme,
Simple melodies I have played
Or strings pulled from my own mind,
I see them again
Behind the white-lined blackness
Of tomorrow's time...

Delineated by day and hour
And each remaining minute
Between two ends of a page,
Then, there is a beginning again,
A fresher place to play
An old tune refined...

AS if I never heard before
And breaking through the barrier,
I resolved to try once more
To regain the reason
For believing in today again,,,,
A purpose that seemed secure
Only yesterday...
